Steven Tyler
After spending time in the Boston club circuit under the tutelage of their first manager Frank Connelly, the band began to work with New York managers Steve Leber and David Krebs. They subsequently signed a record deal in 1972 and debuted their debut album entitled "Eponymous" in 1973. The album was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which catapulted Aerosmith to fame internationally and recognition. These albums produced famous songs like "Dream on", "Walk This Way" and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's five first albums all went multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. As the decade progressed however, the band's life of constant performing, recording and living together began to wear them down. Because of their notorious use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were sometimes referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music has numerous videos that demonstrate their relationship. Tyler seemed more committed to Aerosmith and resent Perry for his aloof attitude. Perry also admired his priority of females throughout his life. The dynamic of tension between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was apparently a leading factor in the gradual decay of Aerosmith from 1980 onwards.
